Outer Rim e.V.
An association that pursues non-profit goals with regard to the promotion of art, culture and intellectual development
Hello, you are here on the website of Outer Rim eV .
We are committed to promoting art and culture, as well as the intellectual development of people. To achieve this goal, we organize, completely non-profit, so-called live role-playing games, or LARPs, in well-known genres of popular culture. The artistic aspect comes from the costumes and sets that you and we make ourselves. But we also support well-known artists who work in the field to give you a coherent picture of the respective genre. The aspect of intellectual development comes from playing with the other participants at our events.
What is LARP?
LARP stands for live action role playing (game). In short, it is a role play that does not take place in your head, but live, i.e. in the real world. The literal German translation of the term "LARP" is simply "live role play". Since very few people can immediately imagine what this means, there are a few descriptions such as "improvisational character play" or "historical amateur theatre".
Those: http://www.larpwiki.de/LARP
A LARP is a game in which you can be whatever you want. It is only limited by the genre and any restrictions imposed by the organizers. It may well be that certain characters are not allowed due to their background. So always find out whether you can portray what you want. Nothing is more frustrating than turning up at an event with the wrong role, called a character. Otherwise, it is a hobby that lets your imagination run wild. You can be a knight in shining armor, a tough cowboy or a resourceful detective, depending on the genre of course. We look forward to seeing you at one of our events.

Information
Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away
Episode 0
The background to Gaslin VII and the Anax Anon
Gaslin, a yellow dwarf star in the Outer Rim, is orbited only by a belt of debris and asteroids. In this belt there are seven dwarf planets that have managed to achieve a spherical shape. The largest of these dwarf planets is marked Gaslin VII. Until shortly before the Clone Wars, this area of the galaxy was completely insignificant. The only reason for mapping was its location on the hyperspace route of the Corellian Run, between Tatooine and Ryloth. And that was only to avoid flying into the yellow dwarf.
But shortly before the Confederacy of Independent Systems seceded from the old Republic, the Trade Federation built several facilities on Gaslin VII and put it into a 24 standard hour rotation. The facilities included atmosphere generators, a gravity system, a coaxium refinery and a category four spaceport. Just enough to service and refuel spaceships.
In 21 BBY, Gaslin VII was conquered and occupied by the Galactic Republic. Several Republic offensives were carried out from here and settlers came to Gaslin VII to build the necessary infrastructure and fill the spaceport with life.
During the time of the Galactic Empire, Gaslin VII was of no strategic importance and the Empire only had a single company of stormtroopers stationed there, so that the spaceport was able to develop into an unofficial free port. In 3 ABY this company was withdrawn and Gaslin VII finally became a free port. Another reason for this development was the gravitational anomalies present in the Gaslin system, which make it impossible for large ships to use the hyperspace route into the system without being torn to pieces.
At regular intervals, these anomalies make it impossible for any ship larger than a shuttle to penetrate the inner system, including Gaslin VII.
To ensure the supply of Gaslin VII, the Anax Anon supply freighter, which has been converted to multidocking, arrives at the Lagrange 5 point of Gaslin VII every thirty standard days. In accordance with the unwritten laws of space travel, the Anax Anon offers everyone a docking option, free basic accommodation, standard gravity, drinking water, oxygen and sanitary facilities. From the L5 point, they can safely bring their cargo to Gaslin VII by shuttle. Without the Anax Anon's supplies, permanent life on Gaslin VII would not be possible. Many residents use the ship's presence to spend time on the Anax Anon, to trade, exchange messages, collect information and so on.
The year is 9 ABY, the Emperor died with the second Death Star. However, there is no peace in the galaxy. The new Republic is still at war with the remnants of the Empire. At the same time, it is in the process of reintroducing democracy to the galaxy and restoring order. Imperial warlords are in the process of securing their privileges and expanding their power base. Various crime syndicates are trying to exploit the chaos and sink their claws even deeper into society on Gaslin VII.
The residents of Gaslin VII have elected a new governor and he appointed his deputy. The coaxium refinery has recently been back in operation and is one of the main sources of income for the economy of Gaslin VII. The spaceport is well on its way to becoming a shadowport, but in the background some are already eyeing this spaceport to use it for their own purposes...
OT Information
Our LARP events are the Anax Anon, a STAR WARS tavern and the Gaslin VII, our main convention series in the STAR WARS universe.
Generally speaking, you can portray whatever you want, as long as you can explain it with the background of the STAR WARS universe. You want to be a member of the Empire or the New Republic, an alien or the best smuggler in the Outer Rim, no problem. You want to be as famous as the most notorious bounty hunters, or would you rather be a member of the cartels? Just do it, it's your playground.
Only Force users and Mandalorians are casting roles, because these two can quickly throw the game out of balance. So if you want to portray something like that, please contact us as an organizer before you start. With the casting, we just want to make sure that you are aware of the responsibility of these roles and can portray them accordingly.
Unusual population groups in the galaxy (e.g. without their own space travel) who want to settle on Gaslin should discuss this with the organization in advance and present their concept.
The Anax Anon will probably take place several times a year in the rooms of the Gran Paradiso Roadhouse Club in Wuppertal (NRW). You can find out the exact dates in the event announcement section, by email, on our Facebook page and on our Discord server. It is intended to give you the opportunity to give your character more depth and to shorten the waiting time for the main convention. It also serves to support the Gran Paradiso in order to be able to keep the premises. The Anax Anon is for ages 18 and up.
The Gaslin VII will take place annually in the Stöffelpark in Enspel (RLP) around the first weekend in November. We want to give you a certain degree of planning security. Because nothing is worse than not knowing when a beloved convention series will take place. The convention will last between three and four days. So there is enough time to move around in the STAR WARS universe. The Gaslin VII is a LARP by you for you. There is no age limit for the Gaslin VII. STAR WARS is a cross-generational phenomenon. If certain areas have an age limit, this will be indicated on signs.
You can find out how you can get involved in shaping the events under Plot and Quests.

"On its thirty standard day tour through the Arkanis Sector, the Anax Anon is at the Lagrange 5 point of Gaslin VII to unload supplies and pick up coaxium. Due to the heavy shuttle traffic between the freighter and Gaslin VII, all guidance beams are occupied and so travelers will either have to wait in the approach vector for this time or dock at the Anax Anon to shorten the waiting time there. The crew of the Anax Anon will supply everyone with air and water. For everything else, travelers must go to the guest deck.
The deck of the freighter, which has been converted into a bar, offers everyone a place to stay, drinks and entertainment for their enjoyment. Gasoline VII
Gaslin VII Episode 4 – A New Departure
IT Introduction:
Much has happened since the last landing window to Gaslin VII was open. The residents of Gaslin had enough of the corrupt rule of the Hutts and their henchmen and, with the help of the local Imperials, the Mandalorians and other mercenaries, drove the Hutts out of Gaslin and proclaimed their own Republic of Gaslin. With its own administration, its own citizenship and its own institutions under the leadership of the Council. The old Hutt Lieutenant Governor, Chesterfield, left Gaslin for Nal Hutta to convince the Hutts that Gaslin was more trouble than profit and to find out what happened to Madame Zoe. Since then, he has disappeared and the government is led by his former assistant Keh, who is trying to consolidate the Republic of Gaslin. Imperials and Mandalorians have each been given an extraterritorial enclave on Gaslin.
The banking clan also seemed to be involved, because in surprising timing, Gaslin introduced its own credit currency and banking system and connected the system to the Holonet. The Hutts, however, do not seem to want to accept this and have already sent threats and cut Gaslin off from all deliveries from Hutt space. Reorganizing and securing supplies and trade will certainly be one of the young government's biggest challenges.
At the same time, incidents occurred that damaged, if not ended, the temporary partnership between the Imperials and the Mandalorians. Rumor has it that old scores, the NR's intelligence service, or an Imperial splinter group of hardliners had something to do with it.
The Chetons also raised their dark heads again as soon as the sun went down and their raids on the settlement increased again. There are various rumors and investigations as to the reasons and their origins. Are they native? Were they introduced? What is the story behind the old research station on Gaslin? And what about the old imperial base in the asteroid belt? Who are the figures that populate the old cult site in the darkness?
Questions upon questions…
We'll see what happens next on Gaslin.
Is the conflict between the individual factions escalating? Are the Hutts trying to reclaim their domain? Can the government guarantee stability and prosperity on Gaslin? What are the New Republic and the Empire planning? Is Gaslin flourishing under the new leadership? Are other cartels or large trading companies trying to gain a foothold in order to establish Gaslin as a safe storage and trading center in the Arkanis sector? Are expeditions into the outer system being prepared?
It remains exciting to see what has already happened by the next landing window for Gaslin VII or what will happen with the arrival of the new arrivals.

By registering, I confirm that I have read and understood this introduction as well as the current rules for the Gaslin VII event series and for all events of Outer Rim eV.

Plot and Quest
The principle of you for you
The Gaslin VII is a sandbox LARP, which means that we as the organizer or org only provide a framework of rules, the area and the other preparations. Of course, we are also available to answer any questions you may have in advance. You can write to us directly on Facebook or Discord, or indirectly to the email address: kontakt@domainname.de
What can you do now to support the event?
Now you can submit small to large storylines, also called plots, or small tasks, known as quests, to spielangebote@outerrimev.de. We will then support you in carrying them out. You can find out exactly how this works under the respective points.
Regardless of whether you submit a plot or a quest, the email must contain the following:
1. The OT names of all persons involved
2. Plot or Quest
3. Character photo of the quest giver
4. Short description
5. Is radio required?
Plot
A plot is a storyline that can affect either a group, faction or even all participants. What it looks like exactly is up to your and our imagination. Yes, we may come up with one or two plots. So if you want to entertain a certain target group and do so over a longer period of time, i.e. more than an hour or two, then you have a plot.
You can submit it to us and we will check it.
The test includes the target group, feasibility and effort. If it is possible, we will give you approval and a time frame in which you can bring your plot into play. You have to provide everything you need yourself, i.e. antagonists, objects and whatever else is needed. This can of course also be your own character. The reward for you is the gratitude of the players and a lot of fun.
Quest
A quest is more of a short-term matter. It is usually a clearly defined task and a reward is in sight. We support you by taking care of the time and location planning for you. After submission, we check the quest according to the following criteria:
- The quest must be a clear task that other players can accept, and there must also be a reward in sight. The players must put themselves in potential danger and/or move around the outside area for the quest. The quest must be manageable by every player.
After we have released your quest, you will receive an email with all the relevant information. Here, too, you provide everything. If the reward is in credits, we will make it available. A quest can be brought into the game by either you, the bounty hunter guild or the factions. But that will be stated in your email.

6.1.
Based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offering within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR), we use content or service offers from third parties in order to integrate their content and services, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter uniformly referred to as “content”). This always presupposes that the third-party providers of this content perceive the IP address of the users, since without the IP address they would not be able to send the content to their browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We endeavor to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. Third-party providers can also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as “web beacons”) for statistical or marketing purposes. The “pixel tags” can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. Event locations and, if applicable, participation fees, as well as the maximum number of participants can be found in the respective offers.
By registering, participants accept the OR's general terms and conditions. Deviating agreements between the contracting parties are not valid unless the OR has confirmed them in writing. Individual agreements between the OR and the contracting partner always take precedence.
§2 Registration and order confirmation
Registration for events in the event database on the OR homepage is done online using the registration form provided there. The registration deadline can be found in the respective event description. Registrations are generally considered in the order in which they are received up to the maximum number of participants set by the OR. Registration is a binding contractual offer. The contracting parties are the OR and participating individuals. If participants are registered via a third party, the person registering is the contracting party. Acceptance is declared by a confirmation email. The contract is concluded upon receipt of this email.
§3 Terms of payment, costs and discounts
The participation fee must be transferred to the specified bank account within 14 days of receipt of confirmation, stating the event name and participant name.
Payment of the participation fee is a prerequisite for binding participation in the booked event.
If participants are granted discounts on the usual participation fee for performing certain functions, the difference is deferred until the agreed service has been provided to the agreed extent. Discounts for paramedics are expressly excluded from this regulation. If participants are unable to provide the agreed service for a reason for which the organizer is responsible, the discount will still apply.
§4 Withdrawal, non-acceptance of registration, exclusion from the event
The withdrawal must be made in writing by email to the OR.
If participants withdraw after the contract has been signed up to 14 days before the event, the OR will try to allocate the place to someone else. If this is successful, the participation fee will be refunded. If it is not possible to allocate the place to someone else or if the withdrawal occurs within 14 days before the event, the participation fee will not be refunded.
The OR reserves the right not to accept registrations from persons and thus to exclude persons from the event.
§5 Cancellation or modification of events
The OR reserves the right to change the location and/or time of events or to cancel them for reasons beyond its control (e.g. if the number of participants is too low or as a result of force majeure). Participants will be informed immediately using the contact details provided in the registration. If an event cannot take place, the institutions or participants will be refunded any participation fees already paid. The same applies if participants are unable to attend a rescheduled event. No further claims exist.
§6 Liability
Liability for damages is excluded unless the damage is the result of deliberate or grossly negligent conduct on the part of the OR or persons commissioned by it. Liability for injury to life, body and health remains unaffected.
§7 Photo or film permission
During the events, photographs and film recordings will be taken for documentation and advertising purposes. The recordings will be taken by photographers appointed and approved by the OR. Private recordings during the event are not permitted. When submitting their registration, all participants agree that photographs and film recordings taken during the event may be saved, used and published for documentation/advertising and publication in the media (print and online). They may also be passed on to third parties for this purpose. In this context, participants waive any payment of fees and make no claims in connection with the use of their photographs.
Permission to take photos or film is not a prerequisite for attending the event. You can revoke your permission in writing by post, email or fax when registering and before the event.
§8 Rules
By registering, participants acknowledge that the rules system specified by the organizer are binding for the game.
When registering, or at the latest immediately after receiving confirmation of registration, all participants must provide the game management with a character description. This must correspond to the system of rules specified by the organizer. The game management, in its capacity as vicarious agent of the organizer, is entitled to decide on binding changes to the rules even after the contract has been concluded.
§9 Security
All participants confirm that they are able to take part in the event, taking into account the physical, mental and emotional stress that can be expected. If the expected stress is not clear from the enclosed information material, the organizer can provide further information in case of doubt. All participants are obliged to inform themselves independently about the applicable safety regulations.
The organizer reserves the right to subject participants' equipment to a safety check. Objected items may not be used in the game and must be removed from the playing area. Violations may lead to exclusion.
All participants are obliged to independently check all equipment (especially padded weapons and armour used by themselves) for safety. If they do not or no longer comply with the safety regulations, they must be taken out of use immediately. All participants remain responsible for the safety of their own equipment for the duration of the event.
All participants undertake to avoid any danger to themselves, other participants and the environment that goes beyond the normal risks of live role-playing. In particular, this includes climbing on unsecured steep slopes and walls and lighting open fires outside of designated fireplaces.
Anyone who has consumed an amount of alcohol or taken medication that makes it illegal to drive a vehicle on public roads must refrain from fighting of any kind and from physically dangerous exercises such as climbing. Violations will result in immediate exclusion from the game.
The instructions of the organizer and his vicarious agents must be followed.
Participants who violate the safety regulations or who seriously or repeatedly fail to follow the organizer's instructions may be expelled from the event without the organizer being obliged to refund the participation fee.
§10 Use of fireworks, animals
The use of fireworks and pyrotechnics is generally prohibited at the event. In exceptional cases, the organizer may authorize the use of fireworks in categories F1 and T1. To do this, the planned fireworks must be registered with the organizer by participants no later than 14 days before the start of the event. If T1 fireworks are used, written permission from the responsible authority for the legal use must also be provided. The organizer has the right to withdraw a granted permission up to the start of the fireworks display without giving reasons.
Bringing pets of any kind is not permitted.
§11 Data protection
All participants are aware and agree that the personal data required to run the event will be stored by OR on electronic data storage devices. All participants expressly agree to the collection, processing and use of personal data. The stored personal data will of course be treated confidentially by OR. The collection, processing and use of the personal data of all participants takes place in compliance with the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).
All participants have the right to revoke their consent at any time with effect for the future. In this case, the OR is obliged to immediately delete the personal data of the participant.
§13 Corona-Klausel
The organizer is entitled to withdraw from this contract or to terminate this contract if it can no longer be expected to continue holding the event due to the corona virus epidemic. This is particularly the case if there is an increase in corona infections in the district in which the event is to take place or in the areas from which most participants are expected; if the event is canceled in whole or in part due to public law requirements or the landlord of the event space or is regulated in such a way that the event can no longer be held sensibly; if service providers for organizing the event fail due to the corona virus and the event can therefore no longer be held sensibly; if a significant proportion of participants cancel their participation due to the corona virus or if the event is otherwise impaired due to the corona virus in such a way that its holding no longer makes factual and economic sense for the organizer. In this case, the parties mutually exclude all claims for damages. Any existing general terms and conditions are excluded insofar as they conflict with these regulations.
§14 Severability Clause
The validity of these General Terms and Conditions remains unaffected by the invalidity of individual points of these General Terms and Conditions.
